My mute doesn't work properly..any ideas?

I installed an amp, and Bass Shakers in my car. The problem is when I use the mute button, It mutes the speakers but NOT the shakers. Does anyone have any ideas?

. You can either fade back to front, or buy a new head unit and wire up the mute wire.

I shouldn't have been so general, That is exactly what I've done. Ran the Shakers of the rear channel. SOOOO...They don't get muted? That factory deck is a bigger POS everytime I look at it
