i have a similar setup. x30 with bluelogger gps BT. but i have a passenger to use to the pda.
i like this seido product. does it seem very stable? is the hardwire included?
i was thinking it would be better to suction cup it to the driver side windshield write above the inspection sticker and then face it forward. easier to see without taking your eyes off the road, plus it's easy to hardwire right underneath the dash(diy radar detector style)

yeah you're right. i looked it at it and the windshield is really close to the steering wheel. there's not enough room.
my gps software sucks, no voice means i have to take my eyes off the road.

From my head position, it only blocks my view of the hood, it doesn't block any road view. In addition, I can operate all of the controls without removing my hand from the steering wheel, like the rest of the s2000 driving controls. It is always in my peripheral vision, so viewing doesn't require any head movement, just an eye flick, and not even as much of an eye flick as it takes to look at the speedo.
It does have voice commands which can be set louder than I can stand in a sedans, but I have to keep the stereo down in the s2000 to hear them. Of course, I have the same problem with v1 now too.

do you know if you can get a BT headset and hear the x30 through the headset? i can't hear anything the voice direction is saying even with the radio off and the top up.
or do i just have to use a earphone connected to it

wps why not run the sound though your stereo??
pretty easy with either a honda pie unit OR an fm modulator - i can play mp3s and have the nav voices come in over the music
check out my link and pm if you have any questions

I have my Magellen 750 (aka Hertz Neverlost) located to the left of the steering wheel as seen below. I think I have lowered the mount a bit since this posting, but you get the idea. The brain and hard drive are stashed in the empty space in the tool bin.

with your magellan there.. does your hand run into it?
i just ordered a seidio and have been thinking about where to put it. the lower vent is too low for line of sight for my taste. i might try to put it on the right vent and hope it doesn't block too much buttons. but of course im wonder if there is room for your hands when driving crazy
