My rear speaker install
I am doing the same as you are and have posted also to see if anyone had done the same. I am putting the Kenwood KX525 Excelon in the rear and putting the X178 in the front. Spoke to Lucid about it and he said that there is another KX525 coming out soon but will run $100 more so for now the KX525 is the best deal for speakers . The fronts are the 7" and come complete with ALL needed inc. adapters and he said the sound difference from the 6 1/2" you can tell . It may cost close to $450 just for all but if that is not enough after I hear it my next step would be an Amp, but I will not change the HU I want that to stay stock so my dash controls will work.

guys go to www.s2000.org and they have all the information you need. I replaced my hu and put in a sub and a 6 disc cd changer and they had EVERYTHIGN i needed for it. I'm serious. it took me 5 hours total to do it and it sounds amazing.

This sort of comment has been posted many times before on this forum and the general consensus is that professional stereo "experts" know very little about the accoustical dynamics of this particular car.

The S can do 160 mph stock?
Is your car stock? Hardtop? Or soft top up?
