I have an 08 with the factory radio. I just bought an aftermarket HU (Sony dsx s300btx). I followed the installation instructions provided by Crutchfield. After installing the new HU the doors speakers and tweeters work fine, but the speakers on the rollbar are not working.

The factory radio has two connectors. When you look at the radio from the top:
1) A bigger one on the left (I think it is blue or grey).
2) A smaller one on the right (white)

The new HU installation instruction only uses the bigger left side (blue or grey) connector. The smaller right side (white) connector is left unused.

Does the right connector is for the speakers on the roll-bar.

Can anyone send me or post a copy of an 08 audio circuit diagram and the connectors diagram. This should help me identify the root cause of the problem.

The smaller one is for the OEM dash controls. It has nothing to do with the rear speakers

The REAR speaker wires should be the ones which control the headrest speakers.


The rear speaker wires are the purple and green wires on your aftermarket harness which connects to the Blue honda plug.

 

Got it. Time to re-check my wire connections.

Unless something changed dramatically in '08, the dash controls are
through two wires in the main radio wiring harness. The other connector
is for the optional trunk-mounted CD changer and/or sat radio receiver.
As GMK stated, the rear speakers wires are in the main harness. You
may have done this already, but verify that the headunit's fader control is
not set all the way forward.
