Default Aftermarket head unit with stock speakers?

First of all I have to say that Modifrys DCI is awesome. Installed it today with a Sony deck. Works nice. The only thing is that if you press the ATT button the deck, this signal doesnt get fed back to the mute button on the car. So now if you press the mute button on the car(now being enabled), the radio now is unmuted or un-att-d. I mean I know the DCI's purpose is not to mute but to ATT.

I have a question for you RAdio heads or gurus.

From what i know the tweeter and the speaker's positive and negative wires are spliced together respectively; Left Tweeter's positive with left speaker. and so forth.

when i installed the deck I just installed the wires from the deck that pertain to the tweeter connection to the setup mentioned above and left the wires for the speakers disconnected. The radio sounded good and all, and so far its working fine.

Foresee any problems? I didnt want to go into the doors and separate the tweeters from the speaker wires.

Hope this makes sense
