If you are just using the stock stereo and not an amp 18-22 guage wire should be fine, any plain old stuff you get from Radio Shack or otherwise. Other's may not agree, but for a low level stereo I've never heard any audio difference from the cheap wire to the mondo-'spensive stuff (and I've had both).

tkeedy is right. 16g would be the biggest I would go but you won't hear a difference from that to up to 22g. The only time you need anything bigger is when you're running amplifiers. And even then, most of the advantage is only seen on paper and hard to differentiate between gauges audibly.

Ruined...what's going on? What amp would you recommend. Eventually I want to install some tweeters and I have the stock 01 HU.

Not much, man. As far as an amp, from what we've been installing at the shop lately, you can't beat an Eclipse for power and clarity. I've always been a Rockford Fosgate guy, but I can't deny what I've been hearing. Boston Acoustics components and Eclipse amplifiers are the best combination I've heard in a long time.

P.S. If you're going to use the stock head unit, make sure you get a PAC (Pacific Audio Corporation) Line Output Converter and not some low grade P.O.S. It'll be the difference between decent sound and complete garbage.

Do you carry Polk? I want to get some of the MOMO tweeters? WTF is the crossover for? I'm a stereo retard...sorry. What price range for the amp are we looking at.

Crossover? If you mean the converter, it allows you to get RCA outputs from the factory deck which doesn't have them. And if you do mean crossover, they just tell the speaker what frequency to play and protect it from playing frequencies it can't handle or wasn't meant for. As for Polk, we don't carry that line. In all honesty, aside from the cosmetics and the MOMO tie-in, they're not that impressive soundwise. They're not junk by any means, but there are better sounding goodies out there.

I'll be honest, it was the momo tie-in. I don't know if you saw my intereior when you picked up the exhaust, but I am an admitted Momo whore. Are you going to Fall Colors?

I do remember the Momo motif on the car, I just didn't want to mention your addiction. Hey, here's a question for you totally off-topic. Did you ever hear of anyone removing the billet tips from that Neuspeed exhaust? Someone mentioned it on another thread and I questioned him about it but I didn't get a response. They're riveted in and I don't think they're meant to come out.

Fall colors probably will be a no-go. I'm going to Reading for the Keystone Nationals this weekend which will eat up most of my vacation time for the year. And if I don't get my biannual dose of Nitromethane, I get the DT's.
