Default Order of intall?

This will be the first time for me installing an entire system and would like to know the best place to begin. HU, speakers then amplifier or would another order be preffered? Or does it make any difference? TIA, Jack

Well, if you are installing an amp, The first thing you should do is run wires - its the biggest part of the install - most time consuming, and needs to be done right. How you wire also dictates where you put things in your car, such as the crossovers, amp, etc.

Once the wires are in place, you have to install the pieces in the correct place, so it doesn't really matter what you do first if you do everything at once imo. I'd start with the HU, get that working, then the amp, get that working, then the speakers.

Are you doing the whole car at once?

Yes, I'm going to do all three (Hu,amp and speakers) this week. Thanks for the reply and I guess I'll start with amp wiring as I think you suggested. Or should I first install the HU?

Look up darkknight's install directions - it will help a lot with how to wire the car and what needs to be done. Pull the car apart, then run wire, then start the HU install imo. Since you are running wire, don't bother putting stuff in until you have the wire run first.

Do all the wiring first.

This is basically what I did - this is based of DK's wiring advice - my rcas actually go back from the center console though, not through the pass door sill.
