Need Help:03 Stock HU have Remote Turn-on for Amp??? Best LOC????
I have decided to keep stock HU for the time being and upgrade the speakers (Focal) and add an amp.
Does the stock 2003 HU have a remote turn on output for the amp???
Also, seeking recommendtions for best "Line Out Converter" that will match to my amp (Precision Power Art A200.2) and provide a 4 volt (or better) signal for the amp.
I have researched all the major LOCs information available, but still unclear exactly which of the adjustable LOCs can do what. Mostly the information about set-up is a simple routine to minimize signal to noise ratio. No real instructions on setting to match specific amp inputs.
Is there a best LOC, or one that can be adjusted to match amp's input sensitivity, input impedance, ect. and have the equvilent to a 4 volt pre-out?

I don't believe the S2k has a turn on output on the factory head unit. You'll have to use the 12V switched wire at the deck for amp turn on.
I don't know of any LOCs that would have a 4V output, though you could always use a line-driver if you needed to.
If my memory serves me, there is a way on Precision Power amps to accept speaker level inputs. I don't always recommend using an amp's speaker level inputs, but it is an easier way to do it.
