Default Need help with alarm please!

Hello all,

I have a VIPER 350HV (link) and I have been having problems with it triggering an alarm constantly. Once I disarm the alarm after it goes off, the LED flashes 3 times. When I look in the manual means that there has been an issue with the door switch. Apparently the alarm thinks that the door got opened while the alarm was armed.

I hate car electronics, so my solution was to simply disconnect the siren and let the alarm go off every 5 mintues because I am tired of hearing it! I REALLY only want the system for remote entry so ultimately this is a non issue, but it would be nice to reconnect the siren so I can hear it arming instead of having to check every time due to lack of a sound to tell me.

So! the question is, can I somehow tell the alarm "dont check for door triggers" but allow it to still check for the shock sensor and let it be my remote entry?

Thanks!

Page 9 & 10 of your users guide explains how to bypass certain zones when arming your alarm. I think that will do the trick for you.

If you don't have a users manual go here:

Hope this works for you...

Dont bypass it, fix it...the easiest thing to do in that situation is to change the polarity of the input to the brain through a relay.

The black/white door trigger wire for the S2k shouldnt trigger any abnormal occurences that would set off the alarm. Some cars monitor these outputs, which could cause an alarm to false, but I've never seen that on a honda.

Anyhow, I take it you are talking about the 2002 S in your avatar?

If you want to know how to fix it, reply to this message and Ill check it later to tell you...or not
