Default Need help debugging an eletric (onic) problem

I have got a gauge set (oil temp, oil pressure, water temp) installed for a few months that so far has not given me any problems. Unfortunately the oil pressure gauge went kaput a couple of days ago and, according to the manual, is reporting a cut connection to the oil pressure sensor. I have tested the connection with an ohmmeter from just close to the sensor all the way to the control unit and everything seems fine. I'm left with two options, either the control unit is broken, or, my guess, the sensor has gone bad.

There are 3 wires coming from the sensor to the control unit, and there is conductivity between one pin and the other two, but I cannot derive any conclusion out of this.

Anyone familiar with oil pressure sensors that could give a few hints? The brand is Defi, if that matters.

Thanks in advance.
