Default How to tap into oil pressure with a line

So currently i already have a oil sandwhich plate, when i went to change the oil pressure sensor yesterday i found that it was easily turned when i had a wrench on the sensor. This scares me and makes me think it might come off later. I have had it for about 2 years already.

Another reason i want to relocate it is because i think the vibration from the engine is causing my sensor to break.

I have seen some people remove the stock oil pressure sensor, put a stainless hose there and tap that into a distribution block and have all the sensor there.

I see that ptuning has it but i dont need 8 ports. and is a bit pricy. very nice piece.

Just curious how you guys are doing it

I had a similar issue on my integra, I had originally had a T-fitting hanging directly from the block that was connected to my aftermarket oil pressure gauge, my oem oil pressure sensor, and my turbo feed line. I fixed the issue by removing the T-fitting from the block and connecting a stainless line to the block that ran to the T-fitting and then all the connections there ( so there was no weight hanging and it is zip tied to the fire wall).

If I were you and I was concerned with the vibrations and it possibly breaking I would run a stainless line from where the sensor is now to the sensor itself and that way the vibrations will have little affect on it. However, if if I had the engine pictured above, I would just run a T-fitting along my oil feed line and have the sensor there, with the feed line zip tied or clamped to something to help hold the weight. But thats only if you have 1 or 2 sensors.

I just put my sensor on the timing cover. It's only really worth it if you have the cover off anyway.

i thought the timing chain cover doesnt have any pressure it is only a place for the timing chain to get lubrication
