Need help programming the OEM "KARR" alarm
I understand about 90% of how to program the OEM "KARR" brand alarm, but one thing escapes me. How do I get it not to auto-arm? Every time I unlock the car, it tries to arm itself about a minute later. I HATE THIS, especially when I'm trying to work on the car. When I'm working on the car, I've resorted to leaving the trunk open so the alarm doesn't arm itself...
this may be a difference between active mode and passive mode for the alarm.
by default, if you use the remote to open the door (therefore... turning off the alarm) but do not physically open the door, the door will lock and the alarm will reactivate itself. maybe you should physically open and close the door after turning off the alarm using the remote... and then work on your car. this should not reactivate the alarm automatically... as the alarm now thinks that someone is sitting in the car.
good luck... nico
