Ok. Maybe i can explain this better for you. A scan tool is a simple name for a tool technicians use. They plug into your OBDII connector and are able to access every module in the car. The engine, transmission, and SRS (air bags). There will be codes stored in the SRS module for crash sensors deployment. The codes need to be cleared and then everything will be back to normal.

I got its scanned and said I need to replace srs module and driver tensioner. I will be taking both out in a day or two and send them out to get reset and recharged. Any tips on taking off the srs module. Would appreciate a link. I know how to take out tensioner just not sure how or where the srs module is at and how to go about taking it off.

Got the both tensioner and module out. It's really simple I love how easy it is to work on her? I will be sending out the module and tensioner out by this weekend. When i get them back I will install and take it back to the shop to delete codes if it need be. I will report back with results.

My srs light is stuck on. I have power/audio cable run from the headunit to where the modifry dash bracket goes, I was pulling on one of the cables to get more out (upgrading from iphone to samsung galaxy phone dock) and now the srs light is stuck on all the time. Could I have pulled a srs cable? Is there an easy way to reset it to see if it's just that? (like the maint light) Or am I stuck with pulling out my dash to figure out this elusive problem?
