Could I have pulled a srs cable? Is there an easy way to reset it to see if it's just that? (like the maint light) Or am I stuck with pulling out my dash to figure out this elusive problem?
If you look back a few posts you will see the SRS module is located directly underneath where the head unit goes. I would check to make sure the connector is plugged in and none of the wires have been stretched or pulled out. If it wasnt on until you ran the modifry thing thats your issue.

Hey blaq&grey I got my seatbelt tensioner and srs module back. I've installed them, when I connected the battery and put the ignition on 2 the Srs light stayed on. I proceeded to do the Srs reset by jumping the two wires in socket in the fuse box. The only difference now is that at the end of thee jump the Srs light blinks twice and shuts off. But when I take the keys out and place ignition on 2 again, the Srs light comes back on and stays on. Any ideas on what to do from here. Thank in advance for any reply.

I also jumped odb2 pin #4 and 9. It gives me 4 long blinks followed by 2 short fast ones.

Im not sure about the pin jumping, but if you completely neutralize the voltage in all of the modules they should reset. What I mean by this is, unhook the positive and negative lead from the battery. Clamp the two leads together (not the battery!) and let them sit for about 5mins. Doing this will kill all the voltage in the modules, harness, ecu, etc. This should mimic a scan tool going in and clearing the SRS module codes.

Key on engine off the SRS light should light up btw. It should also light up briefly on start up then go out.

Hey blackandgrey do you know if an 05 seatbelt will work with my 02? Or do they change at a certain year?

Not entirely sure. I would use a site like majestic honda and compare both part numbers. if they are the same i see no problem

Nothing personal here andrew...but, you bought a used car knowing the SRS light was on? No a great move there.

Could be something unplugged and all you gotta do is plug it back in....could be it's missing both airbags and it's cost you $1000 or more to fix.

I'm not sure, but I don't think the ABS would have anything to do with it. But, now you may not have functioning ABS. Almost as important as an airbag. Was the check engine light on as well when you bought it?
