Default Need recommendations

hey guys,

im thinking about upgrading the system and would like to get some recommendations on some parts.

im considering to put in the alpine 9855 and some conponents and maybe get lucid's panels and stick in some speakers in the back of the seats as well.

generally, im looking to get very good high's from the system.

can anyone recommend me some components and speakers thats known for clear highs? im looking to spend about 200-250 for the components and around 100-150 for the rears.

also, is getting an amp necessary in producing good high freq's? or can i get by without one.

Thanks for your inputs guys.

Spend the extra 150 on the components instead of putting some behind the seats.
Depending on what speakers you go with, an amp will make a significant difference.

The 9855 is a great headunit.
I have that same headunit, plus I put in some Polks SR6500's, and using an Alpine PDX-4.150. Am planning on adding a sub to the car within the next couple months.

I was gonna say the same thing...forget the rear speakers and put the extra money towards a good amp or better components.
