Default Need some advice please..

Hello, everyone. Please forgive my long post, but I'd really appreciate some expert's help.

I've had the car for a little over a month now, and I was really done listening to the crappy stock stereo.
I bought just the HU(9857) last night to see the difference, and wow...
I'm blown away! I didn't know that it could make such a difference.

My taste in sound system is pretty... well.. normal.
Just about enough bass(thinking of getting a 10" sub in the trunk) and some clean high/mid sound would be what I'm looking for.

Now I'm looking into front speakers, and after lots of reading I figured I'm gonna like the Kappa perfects.
My question is, do I need amps for the front? I mean, I know it's gonna make a difference, but is it THAT much of a difference?
If I were to buy an amp, how do I run the wires thru the doors?
One more question, is the Kappa perfect installation straight forward?
I'm aware that the rear basket needs some trimming, but any custom fabricated rings needed for installation?

Once again, sorry for the long post.
TIA

Dan

You really should power them. Some here may say different, but to overcome road noise....especially with the top down, they need their own amp!

Kappa Perfects need an amp. You can get away with lower end components off HU power though.

Mine didn't need an amp.

An amp is absolutely not necessary if your head unit is any good.

It will of course help them sound better.

I had my perfects installed about 3 weeks ago without amps.I got the amps around 2 weeks ago.and the difference is very noticable.with and without the amp.you can get the sub later but i would suggest getting the amps with the perfects.
