I will try to look for some 02+ door panels. Any help will be much appreciated Mikey! I have seen you driving around before I think, recognized your plate haha
Ah yes..it's not exactly discrete eh. Kind of regretted getting them when they arrived in the mail and I pulled them out and saw the big MIKEYCB Oh well, it's nice to be recognized

I'd be happy to lend a hand. I love being outside working on the cars. Something else to perhaps experiment with might be installing rear speakers as well. A very small 4 channel amp to run all 4 speakers will allow you to retain the factory deck and power them all nicely.

Just things to think about down the line, since they can be added later on if you desire a little bit more. You can have a listen to my car soon and see if you like the rears. They really make a world of a difference, especially when you have a passenger blocking the speaker on their side with their leg.

^good point on the passenger! I just installed my Alpine deck from my civic and the sound quality is a lot better. I think I will try some rear speakers and see how I feel about them and then consider the rear speakers.

I would suspect they sound excellent as they should be similar to the Db 6500's. Even better quality so should sound even better. Very efficient. I would say unless you are getting a killer deal it probably would serve you better to stick with the Db series(much cheaper and still excellent sound). The Momo's will give you more room to expand if you plan to upgrade the HU and add an amp later though.

Guess, I'm not trying to be mean on diss on the Polks, but here goes . . .

I had the dB 6500 components in my doors. THe crossovers are complete trash! I had to re-solder the capicitors atleast 5 different times as they kept coming apart. I bought Alpine Type-Rs and they sound much better and appear to be of much higher quality. These will require an amp however to get the most out of them. I also had the Alpines components (5.25) in the headrests at the same time as the Polks, and the sound quality was much better with the Alpines. They had a better low to mid frquency response, despite having smaller woofers.

At your price range and no amp, get a top of the line co-axial from alpine (spx) or kenwood (excelon) that is sensitive (>90db/W). Don't get components unless you are planning to also get an amp because it'll be VERY difficult to find a good set of components under $150.

Forgot to mention- Alpine sells a headunity add on that gives something like 50RMS to 4 channels for like $150 or so. If you have an Alpine headunit PM Imadarkrider about it and see if it will work.
