Pinky,

Do you realize how huge of an ASS you continually make of yourself? You have little to no concept of what it means to have a civil discussion about something...

1) While you did not use the word "fact", the statements you used in the original post are just that...statements of FACT. To quote you directly...

"I have learned why some players play CD-R's and RW's and others play them for a little while then BLOW UP! That is NOT because they are thicker or even that they have a less reflective surface thats been compensated for in most players already.

What the problem is..."

This is a statement of FACT, regardless of whather you heard it from someone else or not.

2) "You just hit the top of my shit list for people who can't read and think they are god." This is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black, isn't it? You have misread people quite often (including within this post). And if anyone has a God complex from being nothing more than a glorified sheet-metal jockey with a (woo hoo!) "Master Installer!" certificate, it's you.

3) I hope you hear from Pioneer, although I bet better than 50/50 they send you a standard-issue form letter with no real info on it (which is a shame, in and of itself).

4) "...then why do some current models say CD-R compatable and some don't?" This sits oh so well with the first part of point number 2) above, but yet again, someone has to reprint it in big bold letters so that you don't miss the point. As BOTH Mark and I pointed out earlier, companies use different transports (the laser and optic assemblies) in different models of players....some transports use lower power lasers and therefore do not support CD-Rs. Maybe all of that deep-seated rage is making it difficult to see the forest for the trees...

5) "God you guys must have selective reading! You pick the stuff that you like to talk about ignore the rest and proclaim yourself god!" How appropriate...here it is, the statements from the original thread have been proven (beyond a shadow of a doubt to most here) to be completely incorrect and all further questions have been answered to everyone's satisfaction (all but yours). Yet, somehow, YOU'RE still ranting about it...talk about picking the stuff you like to talk about, ignoring the rest, and proclaiming yourself God!

6) "Such as our big thread about distortion killing speakers...well I was right and so were others." I'm not going to waste the time to look up the thread, but last time I read it, you were wrong about almost every claim you made in THAT thread as well.

7) "Eventually it all came out that a amp clips and puts direct DC voltage to a speaker heating up the voice coil and causing failure." Now I'm truly amazed! After such a long thread on the speakers and amps, you STILL miss the point of that whole discussion. I HAVE to laugh at THAT one. The idea behind clipping amps heating up voice coils was an increase in average current...something the coil wasn't designed to handle. I could pass a DC voltage through a speaker all day and not hurt it, but I'm not going to rehash that thread here. Amusingly enough, the last sentence of that paragraph is QUITE important..."Though if you technically tell somebody that info it blows over 95% of peoples heads." And so it does, so it does...

8) "My attacks are warranted because everything I say is somehow refuted and backed up by some text book science which only the top 2% of people actually totally read and understood." Personal attacks are NEVER warranted, but sometimes logic just doesn't sink in (like this thread), and you just have to shrug your shoulders, dig in, and let the crap fly (like this thread). Have you ever stopped to think so many people refute what you say because what you say is always so screwed up and completely wrong (like this thread)? Thank God for the 2% of us who DO read those "hard-to understand" science books so we can keep those who DON'T understand how things really work honest.

9) "I don't know why I try...I just never win!" Try arguing a valid point once in a while...at the very least you could get a draw. Who knows...if the point is valid, you may win. Just make sure the point is valid...

10) "Eventually I will find out the reason hopefully from a manufacturer and bring it to the board." I guess the combined knowledge on this board isn't enough for you. Several of us keep telling you where part of the problem lies...you depend WAY too much on marketing hype and what the companies print in their ads. Those ads are designed with the barely-educated consumer (educated in the product, not a slam on someone's schooling background) in mind. I could show you ads for 16-bit DACs and 1-bit DACs on CD players, and make EACH one sound superior to the other...all it takes is a little creative writing ability. I wouldn't be lieing, just telling the consumer what they want to hear. THAT'S how ads get you! (9 out of 10 doctor's surveyed suggest Bayer aspirin....sure, they send a free case of Bayer to 9 doctors, then a week later send those 9 plus another doctor a survey asking what aspirin do they hand out to their patients...creative advertising).

11) "Mean while. PISS OFF! I am fed up." I expected better from you, UNTIL I came to a realization as to why you fight so hard about these facts...

If you fill the fresh member's (and even some seasoned member's) minds with how crappy the stock head unit is, how it's going to blow up, how they need an expensive, high-quality amplifier to push those $1000 speakers....YOU GET A LARGER COMMISSION ON ITEMS YOU SELL TO BOARD MEMBERS HERE...ALL WITHOUT ACTUALLY SPENDING MONEY TO SPONSOR THE BOARD! Pretty F'ing convenient (and profitable), if you ask me...

Let me repeat an old proverb:

Never argue with an un-educated fool; a casual observer may not realize who the real fool is !!!
