I wonder if it's JCV that manufactures these for Porsche. They already have a similar unit (JVC KD-NX5000) and would have only needed to redesign the face.

Ah hah! Here's someone that successfully installed the JVC unit in their S and it came out looking great. Also, it looks like the KD-NX500 is going for just $300 refurbished at Sonicelectronix! Not a bad deal for all you're getting. I wonder if it would somehow work with an external keyboard though since you have to go through the on-screen keyboard SNES style to type in addresseses. Does anyone know?

 

ditch the radio door and do a custom install. brand new pioneer cd dvd bluetooth navi unit that just came out ill do a write up when its all finished we rapped it in a gray suede but dosent match going to come back and do leather or black suede not sure yet might put an s2k emblem under it. all up in the air.
