This honestly wasn't directed at your system per se, your thread just reminded me, since we haven't said that in a long time, and a bunch of new members might not know about that trick. Many people I've talked to have no idea that the spare HAS to go in the trunk a certain way, or else it won't fit.

Good point... however, "Imprint" allows you to store 2 response curves and select them with the Multi EQ option...

Of course, the downside would be that "Imprint" only allows you select tuning from 3 preset response curves, but perhaps one of them would be suitable for a top down environment... not only that, but you could also tune a curve, with the top already down, compensating for a lack of ambience and sound reflection

I am very interested in trying it out, too bad I couldn't use you as a guinea pig
I hadn't really thought all that thru, and kinda forgot about the 2 response curves. The question I would have is; would the imprint "mike" be able to pick up the radio over the ambient wind noise. I also think that Imprint needs to be able to read the sound bouncing off something to work, and that it might not work at all with the top down, but I'm not smart enough yet to know that. I still think disabling the equalizers is

Might have to do some research on that. As I unfortunately had to acquire the radio thru Crutchfield, I do now have access to Imprint at thier cheap $50 rental.

I'd be happy to be the guinea pig. You're welcome to come visit, just bring the And none of that stinky Molson stuff. Guinness only

Well I just so happened to purchase a 9887 today, as well as the Imprint Calibration Kit.

The kit will be in at a later, and I'll do some experimenting. I got a good deal so I decided to purchase it outright from a local dealer, I will sell it on ebay afterwards if I wish, or just keep it for my next vehicle install

I'll let you know how I find it. So far, after a couple hours of tinkering and playing with the iPod functions, I have grown fond of this unit there isn't enough room in the S2000 for a big CD wallet I'll settle for Apple Lossless encoding...

This is also a switch made from a Denford (Denon/Rockford Fosgate) 8250ti head unit to the CDA-9887...
