No Ignition Voltage from Radio Harness
Hello. I removed my stock head unit today and set out to install my new Alpine iDA-X305S using Modifry's PNP harness and DCI. After doing the basic removal stuff, I connected the Alpine HU and tried to power it up to make sure it works before I put everything back together, and low and behold, it doesn't.
I took the radio out and set it up on a test bench. The radio works fine. Next I went back to the car and checked the voltages on the car/female-side of the Honda wiring harness and noticed that the ignition line doesn't go high when it is supposed to. I reconnected the OEM HU, turn the key and it goes on. I check the ignition voltage while the OEM HU connected and the key turned and it is high, although it is lower than the battery voltage by about 1 V.
Does anyone have any ideas of what my problem is? Thanks.
(Read the FAQ, searched forums and the internet. No luck.)
TL;DR
-With key turned, no ignition voltage from wiring harness without Honda HU attached (i.e. nothing attached or Aline HU attached).
-With key turned, about 11v ignition voltage if OEM HU is attached.
-WTF?

Upon further inspection, it appears that my PNP wiring harness from Modifry is incorrectly wired. I was not looking at the ignition voltage, but rather the power antenna lead because I was using the PNP as guide to the pinout for the Honda harness.

The red and blue wires on the blue connect appear to be swapped.

I cut it and spliced it. Works great now. Contacted Bob and got a refund for the cost of the cable very quickly. Overall, annoyed that I spent way too much time to get it to work, but it happens and I'm more than satisfied by Bob's quick response.
