Why am I the only one that STILL cant see the pic?? Red X for me??

 

I am constantly wondering where to install mine. My gauges are projected through my screen, so I want it high, but I want to be able to hide it when parked. I'm thinking of a retractable that comes straight up out of the center of the dash with a small pop up cover but I have not figured out how to make it flush and level, I may have to do it like the one above.

It's not a photoshop. The owner is a board member here, Jacky is his user name. The work was done by Boyzclub in Richmond, BC. I'm going to ask him to take better pics of the install.

 

Did some research. It's the Pioneer AVD-W8000, with an 8" diagonal view screen. It is fixed in place, and not retractable. So, I'm assuming that the screen has an IR eye and that he controls the stereo with the remote control via the screen. Not really an ideal solution, but I guess it gets the job done.

 

hello , hi , i just saw a picture of your s2000 with the pioneer pop-out deck , what modifacations if any was needed to install it so that the screen would work ? please let me know .. thanks s2kgirl2k3

 

Okay guys, got some more information. There is nothing mounted behind the screen. All the head units, CD changers, etc., are mounted in the trunk, and all functions are controlled by that big remote control.

The screen doesn't retract, and you have to modify or remove those two vents above the radio, along with your radio door.
