Now a question by Pinky!
Does anybody have box dimentions for the trunk well with the tool try in place? If at all possible I want to keep the tool try intact and just drop in a box!
I have seen a couple done already but would like specifice build schematics or dimentions. The biggest thing im toying with is to go with 1 12 inch that I have already or a new 10 inch. Biggest problem is the box height! The 12" sub has a 5 1/4 depth! I can see the back of my car getting heavier and heavier. There goes that 50/50 weight distribution.

Maybe you can just roll up the tools in a towel or something and put it in the spare tire area. I heard some guy did that, and it worked fine. Then you would have the full trunk well area to mount your custom box.

Long time dude!
With the tool tray in place the well is 24" wide, 15" front to back, and 5" deep, with the fake floor in place over the tools. Hope this helps.
James
ps. Have you had your car repainted yet?

I would relocate the tools. Even the Infinity Perfect 12" would need more airspace than is available in those dimensions. The Infinity only requires a .5cuf in a sealed box. Subtract the displacement of the speaker and you are short a significant amount. Pull the tool box and build a tray on the new subwoofer box.
