O2S simulators? LED brake lights?

Default O2S simulators? LED brake lights?

So the computer wants something like 200-600mv(?) for the downstream O2S, so can I just return the reference voltage through some resistors so that the computer sees a signal voltage of ~400mV? Or, where can I buy an O2S simulator, and what's the normal price?

As for LED brake lights... Any links to DIYs? What's the difference in reference voltage for lo/hi LED brake lights? Hmmm...

If you're looking for some LED brakelights, you have perfect timing I'm working on a nice, bright set (with user-selectable animations, too). I'm supposed to have the proto PCB in my hands by beginning of next week. Expect something ready by the end of this month

Oh, I forgot to mention, the brakelights use a dual filament setup. There's a 5W filament for normal running lights, then a 21W filament kicks in with the brake pedal.

Any ideas on the DIY O2S simulator?

Ya. I want to bypass the downstream O2S on my Pontiac. I've done some researching (2 clicks on Google) and came up with this:

Apparently the ECU is looking for AC 400-700mV so it's a bit more complicated than soldering in some resistors.

I wanted to bypass the downstream oxygen sensor which checks for catalytic converter efficiency. The cat in my Pontiac has gone bad so I was gonna replace the cat with a test pipe, so I need an O2 simulator to fool the ECU into thinking the cat is still there. Afterthoughts Auto sells exactly what I need for a reasonable price, so I'll probably just buy one instead of going the DIY route.

As for the LED brake lights, I'll just wait til MacGyver releases his model and go from there.

Sometimes I just need a hard push to finish certain projects within a short time frame. The brakelights have been waiting long enough. Ever since my emissions air pump died and I saw that a new one is $450, I've been considering a module to remove the CEL trigger for it and just run without one. Seems more than a few are interested in something like that. Often times the push I need is as simple as I want the item.
