OEM 6 1/2" door speakers

I hear 2004 OEM 6 1/2" door speakers are pretty decent. How do they compare to previous ('02-'03) 6 1/2" door speakers?

If I'm not upgrading HU on 2004 is it worthwhile to get aftermarket 6 1/2"?

No. Start with the HU first or you're just amplifying your problems...

The AP2 stock speakers are better than AP1. I would start with a new HU. But then again, I did a HU, new speakers X6, 4 channel amp, new wiring, DCI, and IPod hardwiring.

yup get a new headunit ... something liek alpine 9857 or maybe 9835? with some 6.5 infinity kappa
