Default OEM alarm acting up / not working

Hi. It's been a while since I've posted here. I had to dust off my board ID. It's cool to see that this place is humming with activity.

I've got an OEM alarm, installed when I bought my car, back in 2001. The remotes for the alarm suddenly stopped working. They have plenty of battery power. However, the original remotes that came with the car, and which I haven't used for 8 years, still work but just operate the doors/trunk.

So I think there must be something wrong with my alarm. I looked at the fuse descriptions and can't ID the alarm fuse. Is it #5?

I also messed with the valet button and got no action. My LED on the arm rest does not flash at all.

I tried reprogramming one of the alarm remotes and that also failed.

I looked under the seat at the alarm unit and all seems to be intact. Cables connected, antenna in place, etc.

So I'm stumped. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance for feedback.

Thanks, -dd-

I just installed my Honda factory alarm a week ago. My car is a 2006. My alarm had two fuses connected to the alarm wiring harness. I tiewrapped the fuse/harness to the area above the hood release per instructions. You may have to remove the kick panel to get at them.
