The Ipod interface plugs into the CD changer port on the back of the headunit.
AP2 cars (2004+) use a different, incompatible CD changer, with a different
connector. My guess is you have an adapter made for a newer car. AFAIK no
one has made an adapter to make those ports compatible, so your options
probably are
a) get an adapter made for your older headunit
b) replace your OEM headunit with a newer OEM headunit
c) scrap the adapter altogether and buy an aftermarket headunit with the Ipod
functionality you want built in.

That looks like it is miscellaneous screws and brackets:

I do not believe there is any easy way to adapt the Music Link to the incompatible headunit - the headunit
manufacturer changed, and I suspect that an adapter would need to do more than just match the wires.

im not 100% but im pretty sure that adapter only works with newer oem radios.....
i have one in my 2008 and i love it, i didnt plug it into the back of the radio tho, behind the trunk carpet by the spare tire there is a harness for the oem cd changer, you need to buy the Y adapter harness 08A31-0F1-000, plug that harness into your factory cd harness which will allow you to plug in the music link, here is a link to the Y harness
