Hey guys,

The holes dont match up to the oem speaker basket for the polk db6501's. How are these mounted? and is it ok if the oem speaker baskets backing was cut off?

Those speakers should fit the stock baskets fine. I'm using those speakers now. The speaker magnets will be flush against the back of speaker baskets. You will need to rotate the speaker to find holes that line up to the mount holes on the speaker basket.

The Alpine Type-S have a wider and deeper magnet, that required the rears of the basket to be cut out. So cutting the baskets are 'ok'.
