I must agree and I'm one of those people mentioned. I put in a low end Pioneer 3900MP into the car and I've noticed a significant difference. But I'm no audiophile.

thats what I was considering putting my amp.


is there any risks assocated with putting this thing (electrical) directly over the gas tank - say--- in the event of an accident?

I would say the risk is slim to none. The fuel pump... an electrical device is usually in the gas tank lol. For something to happen it would mean that the tank would be punctured and a spark would be made in that location... which is probably extremely unlikely.
