Just found this thread via search - and followed the link in here too - and I'll be making this mod later too.

Here in the UK the weather is often changing and it would be useful to be able to raise/lower the roof when rolling in our many traffic jams up to lights etc.

Done it

Just a note to say in the UK (RHD) the box is slightly different. Says RHD on the sticker for one But the whole thing is inverted. So the black and white wire is on the top left row as you look at it.

I just pulled the wire out of the housing with some pliers

Managed to snap one of the clips on the covering trim, but that was easily glued.

When you sit in the passenger seat it would be where a glove box would be.

The pictures make it look small, but it is actually about the size of a normal glove box door.
