Opinion on install configurations
I need some opinions on how to configure my stereo components.
Right now I'm working with a Kenwood KDC-mp425 HU (sub out and crossovers internal), stock front speakers, lucid rear, a 10' Rockford Fosgate in the tool area, and two old school amps, 1 alpine MRV300f (4 channel 4X35, crossovers, bridgable) and and even older Soundstream D60 (2X30, bridgable).
What do you think about:
1. HU runs rear speakers, Alpine runs fronts and sub.
2. HU runs all speakers, bridged Soundstream or Alpine runs sub.
3. HU runs nothing, Alpine runs front and sub, and Soundstream runs rears.
or alternative?

I vote for #3. Let the head unit do what it does best (pre-amp) and let the amps do what they do best. The nice part is once you get it wired (use wire suitable for running much more powerful stuff), you can upgrade your old equipement anytime without tearing anything back apart.
Thanks guys!
Just finished the install......work is going to suck tomorrow.
Used the HU to run the rears, I've got the Alpine in 3 channel mode, running the fronts, and the sub.
I'll replace the fronts with some nice speakers, sometime after my wife forgets that I swore I wouldn't spend anymore on the audio....
