Opinions on these subs....
Good to know. Dave has dealt with them in the past, and says they are pretty stand up people. I will call them again, and see if they indeed did get a shipment in today, or if the sales rep was blowing smoke up my a$$. In the email the VP sent me, she did not say when they were coming back into stock, but that they were just out. I think the email Dave sent her may have rattled a few cages, and I think she just offered to "upgrade" my order at no additional charge.
I will call them today and see what is up.
Thanks again.

I spoke with SOnic Electronix again on friday. They are indeed out of the PSW810. It was not included in their last Audiobahn shipment. So I just requested a refund. I am getting my new wheels next weekend, and am having them custom powdercoated. I am going to wait until after I am done with the wheels to order a new sub. Maybe then they will have them in stock.
Thanks for all the help guys.

Dave,
I just got off the phone with Sonic. They cancelled my order on friday, but did not refund the $. When I was on the phone, the guy tried to sell me another sub. He said that Alphasonik is (and I QUOTE) "a piece of crap brand. That stuff breaks more than something you would buy at a $.99 store. If you know what I mean." Something tells me these guys are kinda shady.....he also told me that the 810 was grossly overrated. That the rms handling is probably closer to 400wrms instead of the stated 600.
He is probably full of crap, just trying to get another commission, but still.....they should not bad mouth brands that they offer! He tried to sell me a Kicker L5 stating that it was a better sub than the 810!
Needless to say, I am not sure I will be dealing with Sonic Electronix anytime in the near future!

Well, the drama continues.....they stated that they refunded the money on friday, but the refund has not been processed by my CC company yet (dunno if I believe that, as there was not a "pending transaction" for the refund on my online statement).
When I called, I noticed they had a Boston Acoustic G5 SVC 4-ohm sub. They upgraded the order for $20. I just paid $20, and instead of the Alpha, they are sending me the G5. I think they did not want to refund my $, so I just said "F*ck it. Just send the the Boston G5," because getting the refund was like pulling teeth!
I decided on this sub, because I am considering getting one of WLAURENT's enclosures from darksidesubs.com. This way I can have the tool well back (and the chances of the sub getting dinged by contents of the trunk will be smaller....several scratches and nicks on the current Clarion from various things). It appears that the G5 will fit in his enclosure, as his specs are .58CF, and the Boston only needs ~.50. Will there be an issue with mounting depth? The G5 requires 6 11/16" for mounting (per manufacturer's site). Does the WLAURENT box have this? If not, I can just block off my current box to get .50CF.
Thanks
