Default Which option suits the S2000 best

I don't have my s2000 yet but I was starting to think about how I'm going to do my stereo in the s2000. I'm going to order my s2000 in a week or two so that I can have delivery sometime in March

Option 1
2 channel amp powering door speakers & a large sub in the trunk... pair of 8 or 10's

Option 2
5 channel amp w/ lucid's panels for rears & a small sub in the trunk... One 8 or 10's

Option 3
4 channel amp no sub

Also...
I was thinking about a Free Air sub
And all Sony equipment for options 2 & 3... and something more high end if I do option 1
And I plan on taking the soft top roof tub out as well.

I'm not to concerned with alot of bass because I generally only listen to Alternative Music.
I'm basically want something that is not going to take up to much space but will still be loud enough at highway speed.

Any input is greatly appreciated... thanks

I personally would go with Option 1 or 2. Most likely 2. Although I still have the stock system (not for long), I understand from all the great reviews that Lucid's rear panel speaker system works great.

Lucid Panels are just that... replacement panels for rear speakers... There is also a mounting ring for the fronts so you can fit 6.5 in the front without any cutting of the speaker baskets... all this can be found at www.lucidautomotive.com

I was thinking about the setup last night and I think you guys are right... So this is what I'm going with

Sony ES CDX-CA760X - Headunit ~$199
Sony XS-HL635 -Component in the front & rear ~$199
Sony XM-1505SX - 5 Channel Amp ~$380
Sony XS-L1035D6 - 10" sub ~$100
S2Kmans Sony DCU - ~100 (This is for the dash controls)
Wires, MDF, etc ~100

Grand Total ~$1000

Please let me know what you think.. and if I'm shooting way over I want an install like this should cost... I should be able to get things much cheaper.. these are the prices from Crutchfield and Sony.com

All I need now is my S2000

I think your right.... so this is my revised list.... let me know what you think

HU - Sony CDX-M610 ~$279
S2Kmans Sony DCU - ~100 (This is for the dash controls)
SUB - 8" Infinity 80.1 ~200rms ~$109 *I don't want deep base... just clean base
Front - Infinity 605cs (6 1/2") ~90rms ~$135
Rear - Infinity 552i (5 1/4") ~50rms ~$59
4-channel amp - RF Punch 400.4 ~50x4rms ~$239
Mono amp - RF Power 200.1 ~100rms ~$209
Wires, MDF, etc ~150

~$1350

I think it will be worth the extra $350

Not sure if I want to go with an 8" or a 10" sub though

If it was me...I would go with the 10".

Upside - will still get good tight bass, little more SPL and it will go lower.

Downside - needs more trunk space and a little more $.

My 2 cents.
