Has anyone seen or heard from John this week? I have sent him an email (Monday), PM (Monday), and left a voicemail (today). Can anyone get him to contact me? I will continue to try and get ahold of him...

Yeah. I know he has some personal things going on, that is why I am just trying to get ahold of him.

he's on Gmail occasionally. Not right now, but if you sign on I bet you can catch him sporadically.

 

I think he ran off with the money. Judging by some other PM's I recieved about this case, I'm sure John has over $8000 pure cash.

Now a divorce can change a man. However unlikely it may be, its so easy to just say f*** everything and go splurging to make one's self happy again. Too all of you
who are waiting I'd say try to get your money back first then ask questions.

Its very curious why john would get numerous phone calls from others and never respond back. Unless you plan to donate your hard earned cash because he's a "stand up guy" then so be it.

 

I do not have the same recourse you had, as I paid him in May. The 45 day window is closed via paypal.

I will just try to keep calling him. I also just called him yesterday, so I can understand it taking him a few days to get back with me. I will contact s2ki.com admins if I do not hear back, as he is an official sponsor.... Not sure what the legality of that relationship is...

kix - I do not think that he has "taken off" with the money. Divorce can be a messy situation that takes precendent over car audio. I do not think the NSF notice you received indicates any sort of fraud. When money comes in, inventory is invested in (in his case, fiberglass, bondo, etc.). His paypal account may also be linked to a different account from which he operates his business (not sure on this one), so the Paypal account may not even be is main operating account, but more of a temporary account to prevent bounced checks on his real account. I am an auditor for a living, so I know signs of fraud when I see them. If I do not hear any communication within the next week, then i may change my opinion..... we will see. I am just looking for some communication.

^ That was a little harsh. "kix" has a legit claim because he attempted to get a refund via Paypal, he got an NSF notification and only got back a portion of his payment. If I speak with John later, I will ask him about this as well.

kix - you stated that a divorce can "change a man" but you expect him to carry out his business like nothing has happened? Sounds like a bit of a double standard to me. Everything in his life is up in the air now, and I get the distinct feeling that he is just trying to anchor everything down after the storm.... sort of like cleaning up the debris...

I did get a phone call from John today. He said that he is just really trying to get his personal sh!t sorted out and apologized profusely for the tardiness / lack of communication. He has apparently almost finished my parts (one coat of paint left for the upper trim piece), so hopefully they will ship out soon. At least it is an indication that he is still working on his business.... I would think it would almost be theraputic at this point. I think that my parts come out ahead of Group Buy orders because of the size of the jobs. I did not speak with him directly, as he called when I was in a business meeting and left a message. I will try calling him later tonight to touch base. I can assure everyone that he has not "run off" with the money.

I say this because, I've purchased items from John before and had good service.give the guy a break as a divorce is not a simple thing to go through.

btw I wouldn't have posted that if he didn't straight out call john a crook.

You got items in return - I got nothing.

You have grounds for your opinion and I have mine. Dont know why I deserved the 10 second spent searching for the pic but I'm glad to be part of your life.

Having money taken away from me without an exchange of agreed upon goods is a crook in my book unless you want to call it something else.
