Default Passenger Access Panel in 2006?

I have my S2000 mostly ready for the install of a new Alpine HU AND I have the Modifry DCI. I want to tap into the speed sensor for volume control but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the storage bin cover that I presume covers the access panel shown in the Modifry instructions?

Any tips?

Thanks,

Al

I haven't honestly looked personally... but I would bet its a bunch of clips... maybe a screw or 2 in the 06 model but most likely clips... that will break in a second if not properly removed

Found one screw on the top underside...but there's somthing firm still that holding it together. I've contorted myself everywhich way but I can't find the bleeping things.

Meanwhile, I've got the rest of the stereo HU, iPod and DCI working. I pushed a length of wire through into the passenger dash area hoping that I figure out it later and add the speed function.

Grrrrr.

Just clips on mine... be very careful though. The plastic around the center top clip is really thin. Mine cracked... though I have a feeling it wasn't my doing. Good thing is you really don't notice it... but I'll get around to replacing the panel sometime.

There is the screw in the center of the panel, but then one of those "push the center in to release" clips on either side of the panel. Those all have to come out before you can yank the panel out.

It's one screw and a number of clips.
