I just about got the 1 cubic ft of volume needed for the Perfect 12 and got the amp and box to fit in the boot sink. It sits faitly high in the boot but it comes in and out real easy.....

i actually have the same sub and was wondering if you had any pictures of the box in your car. i had a box made but it still sticks out too much.. i'm actually going to get a fiberglass mold made..to make it flush... so how do you like the speaker?? i love mine..its just that i get a lot of rattle..even after dynomatting it.. how many watts are you pushing it with? thanks..
Hi cliff
I have no pics of it in the car yet cos the car is having some work done on it. When i get the car back i'll get a pic uploaded.
The way best is, as you say, go flush in the trunk sink with the amp in the spare wheel, but i wanted to incorporate the amp into it so that it is all removable in one go. This meant that i had to make the box narrower than 12in back - this then meant i had to angle the top of the box to get more than 12in on the top side so the speaker would fit.
In the end it is higher than i first planned, but it is so easy to take in and out that i'm not too bothered at the moment. The top of the box is just under lip on the back of the trunk - then the sub is angled into the car.
Having only just built it and i had no power cable in the car to test out for rattle - i am curious as to how much dynomat will be needed - where have you started putting your deadening?? - the top of the trunk??
As for the speaker - is absolutely rocks!!!!! I was putting about 250RMS to it i think - and it is in a sealed box. Geezz, does it pound! I haven't tested it in the new box yet, but due to the volume being less than my last box i may not be able to kick so hard - it'll blow the thing out of the trunk!!
