Default (pic) help with sub wiring

I'm using two subs that are dual 4ohm, and a mono amp that is 1 ohm stable.

What I don't get is how to physically wire the speakers together. I'm following this diagram, but unless I am running two separate positive and two separate negative speaker lines out of the single +/- on the amp, I don't get it.

What am I overthinking?

Thank you

Follow diagram #1

You simply connect the all the positives together and all the negatives together. Its pretty easy actually.

So once in the box you're going to wire all the red positive(+) connectors to the red on the terminal cup and wire all the black negative(-) connectors to the black on the terminal cup. Then just connect up the terminal cup connections to the amp and your good to go.

Does that help?

I'll add, in case this is your confusion, that if you are tying all your positives to
each other, and all your negatives to each other, it doesn't matter what the actual
runs of wire are. You can run two wires from the amp's +, one to each sub's +, or you
can run one wire from the amp's + to the first sub's +, and then a second wire from the
first sub's + to the second sub's +. (and of course, similarly with the - wires).
