Pics as promised....56K warning
Whats up guys....finally got off my ass and took some pics...here they are....
System consists of
Alpine CDA - 9807 (great HU....not one complaint)
2 Audiobahn 2601Q Amps (one for highs, one for subs....
I know what you all think....but I think these are some of the best amps on the market....call me crazy...they sound great....(trust me....i have been in cars with better equipment and they didnt sound as good as mine did), NEVER OVERHEAT,,,,(ive been blasting them for like 2 hours straight in 90+ weather and they ran like champs...), and finally PRICE!!!!
Pair of INFINITI Kappa perfect 6.1
Argue all you want, BAR NONE....best automotive speakers produced. I have heard Focals and Quarts...nothing compares....The only speakers that I think are AS good are the Dynaudio components...
1 Type R 10" sub for the thump....not a huge fan of block rattling bass, so this is perfect...NO rattles (were 2 but I took care of em....
KNUKONCEPTZ wiring....just as good as PG but 1/4 of the price.
Without further ado, here are the pics....

Well, there you go....4 days in a 100+ degree garage, but the sense of accomplishment is great. By the way, I know the voodoo knob is on wrong, I just need to go and get Blue Loctite. THanks guys.

Nice the way you ahve it setup. Glad to see that you found a setup that you liked. I would still have to disagree with the Audiobahn equipment but that is me, but if you're happy that is what is really important. The Infinty's are sweet speakers. When they first came out a distributor I used to deal with said that all you need is a set of the 6 1/2's and you'll be golden. when I finally did get hold of set, it was love at first listen
I also agree with you on the sub. I'm more of sound quality person and not the boomer type.

Thanks Darksyde.......
This is what I call a "settle" set up. The way I originally wanted to have the amps (to preserve as much trunk space as possible) would be vertically against the back wall. Unfortunately, me in my infinite wisdom took approximate measurements and when it was time to actually install them, they didnt fit. So I started to get frantic and tried to figure out how to mount the amps....so I settled for this. However, as time goes by, I do like it and think that It was a good choice. Funny thing is I get more compliments than my friend in his 540 in which he spent 3000+ on the install and I spent nothing. The just say they like it better. Wiring was also no picnic, shoving a 4 Gauge wire through the firewall grommet was really really hard. Well, gotta go to work...any more comments welcome.

Thanks man...its sounds phenomilal.. Had a couple of problems with rattling....The trunk lock mechanism (piece of flappy plastic) was rattling like crazy, but a nice big zip tie took care of that. Now its sounds clean and no rattling EVEN with the top DOWN. Also, I do not notice any weight difference....car hadles the same and the spare is gone....Thanks again....
P.S. Just a side note...with the exception of getting the wires through the grommets, installing a system (especially the HU) is cake. I highly recommend if you have the smallest clue on how car audio works, that everyone do the work themselves and save $$$$

Bomberman....I never heard the SEAS....but I have heard the Adire ones. Unfortunatelly, the song was was played while I heard em was not the best for sound quality testing, but for what I heard, sounded good.
