A Pillar Nav -- work in progress
looks beautiful. I woulda gone lower though and maybe outward like in front on your inspection sticker. (which is on the lower left in NJ)
thats just me though. Very innovative i personally really like it. seems like maybe a new mounting solution for the VAFC too. good work

UPDATES

I finally got it textured yesterday but it didn't come out as I'd hoped for. I need something that blobs out a bit more than what I have. But, not wanting to have any additional delays, I painted it anyways.

Here you can see its too black and too shiny. I used SEM Gloss Black but it seems I will need Satin Black
So it'll need to get re-textured (I'm thinking wrinkle paint followed by wet sanding) and repainted with Satin black.

So, instead of calling it quits for the day, I decided to do some test fitting. The screen fits snugly in my custom bezel and is held in with some sticky-tack stuff so the screen can be easily removed with slight force if need be.

Once the screen was in place, now came the ciruit board. Again, the circuit board is held in with sticky tack.

Installed!!! Note that I the color/contrast is off as I only did 3 light coats. Once the new paint arrives I will have it repainted.
On a separate note, I went for a lil drive and the placement is very good. Easy to read/see, easy to operate with left pinky while hand is still on wheel, reception is just as good as a window mount, and coolness factor
Also, other than the paint issue, fitting all these electronics behind the a-pillar aint easy. Without a custom bezel the GPS unit would probably protude another half an inch or more. Other than that I'm loving it.
