Pinky's Mod
I bought the head unit from Pinky, but it didn't come with any instructions. He hasn't answered my email (maybe he's gone this weekend), and I wanted to get it installed this weekend.
From the looks of the unit I think my main question is how to program the unit for the dash controls.

That is the easy part, just put it in programming mode and then do what the PAC LEDs tell you to do. It is a good idea to think about what remote button should map to which dash button before starting, because you only have a couple of seconds between steps.
1) Push in recessed button on bottom of PAC unit to enter programming mode. You will see the red LED for "push dash button" light up.
2) Push dash button that you want to make work with the PAC.
3) When the light on the PAC unit switches from "push dash button" to "push remote control button" (paraphrasing, look at the lights on the PAC unit), push the button on the remote that you want the dash control to emulate (i.e., if you are programming the dash volume up button, push the volume up button your remote). Remember to point your remote at the sensor on the PAC unit until the other diode lights up.
4) Repeat #2 and #3 until all buttons are programmed.
5) When finished, the PAC unit will exit programming mode after a few seconds of inactivity.
It should take 20-30 seconds. If you screw up, just start over. Remember to continue pushing whatever button (dash or remote) until the LED changes.
Here is a link to the PAC instructions, in case you need them: http://www.go2pac.com/pdf_files/swi/swi3instr.pdf.
Good luck.

It wasn't preprogrammed, but the install was very easy, partly thanks to your instructiions and pictures. It probably took 20 minutes total. It actually took a little longer because I forgot to eject a disc that was in the old radio.
