Default pioneer avic-d2

does anyone know if you can mod the Pioneer Avic-D2, to play DVD's...plan on getting this setup soon

do u think if you buy a dvd head unit u will be able to view dvds off of it?

From what I see on their site, this thing doesnt have a video AUX port, so in that case, no you cannot.

I believe the Alpine units, or the eclipse units can.

You can't view DVD's off of the D2's internal player(this is set up for Nav disks only). You can mod the unit to let you watch an input while driving(bypass the handbrake safety system, use an external DVD player). It is actually very easy to do this on the D2(you don't have to open it up ). Please don't ask me how, I won't tell someone as it is illegal. I will give you this hint, Google is your friend.
