No, Bluetooth doesn't mean it'll support any and all Bluetooth devices. From what I've read, it looks like the 980BT only supports the low-fi headset profile. This means just basic phone functions.

Are there any clearance issues with the radio door when using this headunit?

Crutchfield website has a warning about not being able to close the door when installing a headunit with a protruding/folding faceplace.

Anyone have the ipod interface with this? Where did you install the control unit?

I have the Mio C520 with bluetooth A2DP support. That would be able to sync with a BT headunit. Unfortunately, I went the cheap route and bought a lesser Pioneer model.

yes it works with wired DCI. I own this one, dont know much of the bluetooth except that I never use it since I have to manually connect it every time. Im probably just doing something wrong.

i have the 7900 and it keeps coming out.. i for some reason cant get it to stay in there..the "bracket" wont stay on the headunit itself so it just keeps sliding in and out of the bracket.. cant even close the door without the door pushing the button.. and yes i put the little metal things up.. i must suck at installing it then
and also i like the 9800 full color display.. mine only has blue .. i think ima sell it and get a alpine...

k third time i edited my post in the last minute lol.. i know you guys run the ipod cable through the middle dash.. but were do u actually run it throu to get there.. is it hard? what did you have to take off? how long?

and also where did you guys run the mic..
