I sold my old Pioneer, but before buying this one, I wanted to make sure some things transfer... Headunit I am considering...

1. You think this will install right out of box, or do I need to purchase anything with it...

2. I have the Modifry DCI for the Pioneer I have now, Can I just transfer it to the new HU?

Any Help Is appreciated...

If you have the DCI for a wired Pioneer setup the DCI should work immediately... Not sure if the deck's harness is the same for the 9800BT as for any older decks. If it is, you can plug it in and sell off your old deck with the brand new harness.

 

I've just installed this unit..
Harness is the same..
And the Pioneer DCI works fine with it.. (only tested the IR version)

 

Here is mine DEH7800MP...same as your minus the Bluetooth. Perfect fit and works fine with WIRED DCI.

I need a good excuse to upgrade my 860MP...

 

Here is the one (excuse): blue tooth handsfree - works great with nokia and sony ericsson phones. Plus the sound of the HU is just awesome. I have mine hooked up with Alpine amp and Focal speakers. A W E S O M E!
