Default Pioneer external XM Mounting

Props to GrandMasterKhan for helping me pick out and install a significant upgrade - got a Pioneer DEH-6000UB yesterday - what an improvement!
I also got an XM add-on for it, the Pioneer GEX-P920XM, which we've not yet installed due to time constraints.

Anyone have one of these XM units? Where did you install it? Any pics?

This is for an '02, btw.

thanks!
Dave

I put mine just forward of the trunk, dead center. I can try to take a pic for you tomorrow. The wire is not really visible and the antenna is so small it is not an eyesore.

I listen to XM so much I got rid of my FM antenna because IT was the eyesore

Cool thanks! Look forward to seeing pics if you can get some. I am having XM withdrawals - no music at all on FM around here...

A few year back I took a stock honda XM ant mount and we mounted the XM ant inside that and mounted it to the trunk deck lid. The stock one can be painted to match the car(or they come painted I can't remember)

Hmm, I wonder if I've confused the question here. I know where to put the *antenna*. What I am looking for is a good place to put the tuner box itself. It is about 5.5x7 and an inch thick.

Oh, LOL

Just put it anywhere you can fit it that has a bit of air movement. Under the seat, over the gas tank, wherever. I put mine on the back of my amp rack (don't have to be pretty):
