Easiest way to do what? Threat title says "40W -> 60W". What do you mean?

maybe i wasnt being too clear..

The default setting on the P8MP head unit is 40W per channel. There is an option to change the output to the max of 60W per channel by activating the switch on the bottom of the HU.

I was wondering whether there was a way to do this without taking out the HU again.

Installation was done professionally and was set to 40W because I had the stock speakers..

Just bought a set of Kicker components and would like to increase the output to 60W.

First of all....there is no way you are going to be getting all 60W. You will probably be getting 22-25WRMS. Those Kickers are probably rated a 60WRMS, not 60W max. Ignore the MAX wattage numbers for both, as that is a useless number and is only achieved under lab conditions. Look at the WRMS rating. That is the only way to get a "true" wattage reading.

As far as pulling the HU...that takes all of like 2 minutes. Just open the radio door, pull up and out and the whole thing (vents and all) should just pop right out. Then its just 4 phillips screws, then pull it straight out. Takes less than 90 seconds for me to pull mine out, if I have a power drill handy for the screws.
