Default Pioneer slim subs

I'm really looking for a sub that will fit in place of the tool well and nothing else. So basically not flush with the main trunk floor and not much higher than the tool foam piece would be.

I was looking at Pioneer's slim subs and thought that maybe I could accomplish this. Here are the specs.

PREMIER TS-SW841D
Diameter 8-inch
Depth 2.5

I'm actually working on this design right now. I have a sub on order and just waiting for it to show up.

John, will an under the seat box for this sub be a viable option?

How tall and how much volume does that box have? The blended carpet is so good I can't figure out how what I'm looking at when it's in the car.

I doubt under the seat is possible, as it still requires 3 full inches. I dont think there is even that much under either seat. I think its 2.75" max for an amp install I did....

Yeah this can not fit under the seat. Pretty much no sub is going to fit under the seat, without cutting the floorboard for it to fit. And I'm not offering that service

The GB box is about .65cf or so.

Yeah I seriously doubt anything short of an amp would fit under the seats.

If I knew more about composites I would try to just use the foam tool box as the basic mold and mount the sub in that form. Then just put the tools together in the spare tire and everything would look stock and you wouldn't lose any space. (Or so it works in a perfect world...right)
