I have the MB Quart QSD216's and love them. I had the Boston 6.5 pro's before and they had little more bass but not a lot. The treble on the pro's did not seem to be as realistic sounding as the quarts I have had in the past. So I got rid of the pro's and got the QSD's and all is well again. imo.

Same here, I got MB Quarts, went with 6.5" premiums in this car - my M3 has the Q-series but didn't want to spend so much this time around.

Great sound and very clear but if you want a lot of midbass, probably better going with something more beefy.....

If money is no concern go with the Focal KP6.5 (about 900)

Focal Utopias if you have the $$$ and want midbass. Probably the best midbass speaker on the market.

If you dont want to spend the $600 or so on those....these are some of the best mid-bass speakers Ive heard in the last year.

Alphasonik PCT 6501s. If you like more treble, you can upgrade to titanium tweeters.

John is actually an Alphasonik dealer, so definetely check them out.

I agree. The tweeter is bright on the MBQuarts but on the Bostons it is ear shattering and unreal. I bought my car with Boston Pros installed. They went out immediately. And their midbass is lacking. I can recommend the Kappas as I am using them in my truck. They play very loud and sound good just not as detailed as the pricier speakers.
