Is Poly-Fill Stuffing worth using?
I was thiking of picking up some Poly-Fill Stuffing which supposedly makes your sub enclosure sound bigger.
Anyone have experience with it? It's $8 / bag from crutchfield

Yes, if used correctly. If used incorrectly, you'll be screwing up the sound. Polyfill is used to slow down the sound waves within the box. By doing so, you can use a smaller box than what a driver was originally designed for, generally 15-25% smaller. The problem with it is two fold: 1) unless you have a lot of experience with it, you're just guessing as to the amount, and 2) even if you know how much, it's physically impossible to get it exact since the amount of "fluffiness" you add to it (this stuff is not meant to be packed in) changes the box's perceived size.
In a nutshell, if the box was sized correctly to begin with, you shouldn't be using this stuff.

I am using it in my 04, I built a custom box for one JL 10 that wants between .6 and .8 cubic feet, and I am only giving it about .55 ft^3 with poly fill and it sounds GOOD
edit: but don't buy it online, i bought a bag at the local craft store for $3, its the EXACT same stuff as I received in my JL wedge box
