I'm not an expert in electronics by any means, but would it be possible to mount and wire a flip-out DVD in this location:

Have a custom mount put in underneath the dash to the right of the head unit (aligned somewhere on the dash so that there would be visibility to driver and passenger... in park of course), position the mounting brackets/mold so that the screen would be able to flip out without interference from the passenger (if any) or the dash when in viewing position. Wire the unit behind the mounting bracket and somehow through to the back of your original HU.

Could this possibly work? I looked through the other threads and didn't notice many alternate locations besides dash-cutting and less appealing options than that. I wish I could post pictures to give a better idea of what I'm talking about. It might decrease passenger legroom but I didn't think it would make it completely restrictive, and this set up would be more discreet than in-dash or on top of dash. My logistics may be off or I'm on crack, but I thought that this could feasibly work. I appreciate any input/modifications/further suggestions for this setup and just wanted to through the idea out there... (just in case it might work)

 

I was thinking about doing that, but I changed my mind ( it wont look that good)
and with the money you gonna spend doing that, you could get some thing neat,
why dont u try this:

buy a dvd receiver: something like this JVC KD-DV5100 ( that's just an idea, shop around for better price)
and you cut the dash and install a monitor, some members did that already.
just use the search bar to find some pic and to get a better idea,
