Can't wait.

Would these be of any benefit to the stick HU?

they don't appear to be very efficient, so you should probably use an amp.
the stock headunit would not have enough power to adequately drive them.

If you plan to use the stock HU you will definitely need an external amplifier. The manual provided with the speakers state that they should be powered with no less than 40W RMS, but I found they sound tinny with anything less than 50W RMS.

These speakers definately need not more power. Manual says between 50 and 150 watts for the amp.

Quick question here.
The tweeters comes with it already in one of the tweeter housing.
Seems like its glued on there or something.
I tried popping it out, it wouldn't budge.
How did you guys get it out ??

I just got mine in today.
I will install them today, I'll show you where the crossover goes.

OK, this is where I put that big ole Xover.
Take off the big black thing on the bottom left.

This is how I fasten the Xover.
I only screw the bottom left and top right but it is very tight and secured.
I used the existing holes, no need to drill anything.

This is how I fasten the top right.
The black metal piece I found in the PPI box.
Somehow, the holes are a perfect fit.
I also did put the door back to make sure it fits.

I thought I could install this in a hurry as I've installed coaxials twice already but it gonna take much longer.
While I'm doing this, I figure I run speakers wires through too.
My obstacle is that I can't find a clothes hanger...argh....

NOw, can anyone tell me how to get the tweeters out of its housing ??
Seems like they are glued on there.

Talking

Don't remove the housing. Use either the flush mount or surface mount options that come with the speakers. Easy to do, just decide where you want to mount the tweeters.

Mounted my crossovers the say way. Only difference, had the wiring ports pointed downward instead. Don't think it makes a difference anyway.

Like the fact these speakers also come with high quality speaker wires and many mounting options for the tweeters. Sweetly designed package from ADS, I mean DEI.....

I don't get it.
It came with like 4 different housing.
If I can't pop the tweeter out of the housing that it came iwth, what good are the other housings ??
